Responsibilities
Eastman's Pace site is located in the northwest corner of the Florida Panhandle. The site produces a range of amines products that are used in the food, feed and agriculture markets. The intern position is a temporary summer role that reports to the Engineering Manager. It is a day position working Monday-Friday.
Below are projects that the intern is expected to work on this summer. Other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Assist in preparation of materials for the #1 PHA revalidation scheduled later this year
Help address open Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) action items
Help address Process Safety Implementation Checklist items
Prepare PSV spreadsheet information for corporate review
Work with site electrical engineer to develop new electrical preventative maintenance (PM) tasks
Verify Electrical PM tasks in SAP
Qualifications
- Must be an undergraduate student in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 2nd year completed but prefer 3rd year of undergraduate studies completed by summer
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong written, listening and verbal communication skills
- Be a self starter and self-motivated
- Must be resourceful and not afraid to ask questions

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
