Skilled work in construction, maintenance and repair of masonry, wood and concrete structures.
Essential Job Functions:Essential functions are fundamental job duties. They do not include marginal tasks which are also performed but are incidental to the primary functions. Cuts brick or block with mason's hammer, chisel or masonry saw and lays brick or block;
Establishes and checks vertical and horizontal alignment of walls and structure with gauge line, level and plumb bob;
Mixes concrete, pours and finishes concrete for footings, walls, floors, driveways, curb inlets and drainage inlet boxes;
Makes detailed lay outs for work as required;
Builds and places forms for steps, curbs, sidewalks, small foundations, driveways, curb inlets, drainage inlet boxes and other work;
Performs general carpentry work;
Builds rough wooden structures such as barricades, fences and scaffolds;
Construction and repair of shed and storage buildings;
May be required to estimate materials needed;
Performs related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS: Must be able to walk, stoop, bend, crawl and reach; involves moderate to heavy lifting of over 100 pounds; must be able to operate a small truck to visit job sites.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Outside in adverse weather conditions; work around machinery and construction equipment.
KNOWLEDGE OF: Materials, methods, practices and standards of the trade; methods of construction including steel reinforcement in the usual types of concrete structures and of concrete mortar mixes so as to secure desired results in terms of finish and strength.
ABILITY TO: Work well with other members of the building crew; work from blueprints, sketches or oral instructions; estimate material, equipment and time needed for specific jobs; prepare and keep simple reports and records.
SKILLS: Operation of tools and equipment of the trade.

Graduation from high school, trade school or GED. Three years' experience in masonry and concrete work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
LICENSE: Applicant must have a valid State of Florida Driver's License at the date of hire and maintain said license while employed in this position. Applicant must have the ability to obtain CDL and any other license, training and certification required by law or regulations to complete assigned tasks.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
